JEFF POTTER  After completing his bachelor's degree in applied science specialising in information studies in 1986, Jeff obtained employment in a law firm assisting with research and management of medical negligence claims.  He remained in this employment whilst pursuing full time legal studies.  Jeff was awarded the degrees of bachelor of jurisprudence and bachelor of laws in 1990 by the University of Western Australia.  He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1991.  He is also admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia.

Jeff practices in the areas of health care (including medical) negligence and represents the seriously injured and the families of those who have lost their loved ones.

Jeff has special expertise in high value, catastrophic, complex personal injury and medical negligence claims.  He is one of Western Australia's most experienced and sought-after lawyers in such complex claims and has assisted in high-profile cases and coronial enquiries.  He has achieved numerous multi-million dollar settlements. Jeff has developed a keen interest and practical expertise in managing claims arising from children injured at birth as a result of negligence, and has pursued claims on behalf of persons disabled through brain injury.

Jeff works in the Personal Injury Division of Friedman Lurie Singh & D'Angelo, adding to the specialist work that the firm does in these areas.

Jeff served on the Law Society of Western Australia’s Personal Injuries Committee for many years, and is a member of both the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Australian Lawyers Alliance (formerly APLA).
