AREA OF LAW

Public Liability/Occupier`s Liability and Product Liability

Injury may occur from a whole range of circumstances, including from slipping on unsafe or uneven floors, being injured as a result of "hidden traps" such as holes in flooring concealed by carpets or other floor coverings, and other dangerous situations we all encounter every day of the week.

If you have sustained injury as a result of what you consider to be a failure by a shopping centre, council, company, or other entity to take care for your safety, or you have used a product that you consider was faulty and caused you injury, then you may have a legal claim.

We are committed to advising you in relation to your potential claim, so you may make an informed decision as to whether or not you wish to pursue your claim.  We have found that with this area of the law often it is unfortunately only through persons pursuing claims that changes are made to unsafe premises, products and systems.

If you wish to pursue your claim, it is important that you act without delay.  It may be too late to act if you wait until your injuries have stabilised.  Changed have been made to the law in Western Australia which have, in many cases, halved the time you have to bring a negligence claim.
