Neville attained the degree of Baccalaureus Procurationis from the University of Cape Town in December 1975 and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of the Republic of South Africa in February 1979. He was admitted to partnership in a law firm in Cape Town in 1980. Neville immigrated into Western Australia in November 1982 and was employed by a large city firm of solicitors (with national affiliations) before leaving to practise initially on his own account under the style of Friedman & Bonomelli. He was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 1983 and to the High Court of Australia in March 1984.

He has been the senior partner of the practice in all its prior iterations and is now the sole director of the practice.

Neville now specialises in end – of – life matters including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Guardianship, Advance Health Directives, Probate applications, reverse mortgages, bank guarantee certificates etc.
